hi, i'm demi!

I'm a design and computer science student at the University of Texas at Austin. My design practice bridges physical interactions with digital spaces. I'm passionate about the power of creating tangible, immersive experiences in an increasingly digital world. My vision for the future is one where technology is used to augment our everyday sensory experiences and social connections, not replace it--I believe there is joy and fulfillment to be found through tangible media that is irreplacable. ٭✧ ݁ ˖๋ ࣭ ⭑

I previously interned at Ghost Productions Medical Animation and VR Surgery, where I researched methods of incorporating browser-based interactive 3D AR elements to present Ghost's 3D work in an accessible, user-friendly format.

When I'm not designing, you can catch me daydreaming, doodling, or dancing on ice! My lifelong love for figure skating led me to found the first intercollegiate figure skating team at UT Austin. I grew up with my nose buried in fictional novels and yearn to bring the fantastical worlds I read and dream about to life through my artwork. I've illustrated for Simon & Schuster, Hodder & Stoughton, and several NYT Bestselling fantasy/contemporary authors, and dream of creating an artbook for my original worlds one day!
